Reflection
In this project, we were assigned teams in which we were to pick a Spanish-speaking country to make a poster of. My team chose the Dominican Republic as our country and I was tasked with documenting the geography, and the overall climate of the country. Along with that, I also was in charge of assembling the poster and converting our speeches to Spanish.
Why I Chose This Assignment
I chose this assignment as it was a huge part of my quarter 1, Spanish II grade. I'm very proud with how the poster turned out, especially due to the flag of the Dominican Republic that I painted myself.
21st Century Skills
Through this project, I really exercised my "Global Awareness" & "Interpersonal" skills. I had to research a country that was totally alien to me, with cultural practices and sites that really broadened my view on the world, as well as communicating with my team members to create a poster that, was for the most part, good.
Current Growth
This project helped grow my global insight, as well as my creative abilities. While my creativity grew traditionally (through painting and assembling the poster), it also grew in more unconventional places as I had to get creative to spread thin the limited resources that I had.
Future Growth
In the future, I could definitely remedy the problem that I had with team communication. Our final presentation ended up being a little disorganized, and some split ends where left untidied in the end.
